There are a lot of sustainable considerations at the time of consuming coffee. Where it came from? Is it organic? Was it sources paying fair wages? These are the questions that get the most attention, however, being one of the most consumed beverages in the world, it is also one of the most wasteful. A minimal amount of people worry about the waste generated by coffee, and even fewer are attempting to reuse or repurpose coffee grounds for the circular economy.
According to a study by the University of Bath, the global coffee industry produces around 6 million tonnes of spent coffee grounds every year, most of which end up in landfills or incinerators.
But what if we could find a way to reuse our coffee waste and turn it into something useful, valuable, or even delicious? One of our @Colectivo experts, @Colm Rowan, specializes in giving coffee grounds a second life, ranging from innovative to very simple (house-friendly) uses for used coffee grounds.

☕ Cook recipes with coffee, such as brownies, cookies, or granola bars
By applying circularity principles in the kitchen, you will not only save money and resources, but you will be contributing to bigger issues, tackling waste management and reducing the impact of your consumption, whether it is one cup of coffee in the morning, or a whole coffee shop.
